Tina Louise was an American actress, singer, and writer who is best known as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage experience began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Following that, she performed on Broadway throughout a range of shows up until the year of 1957 when Li'lAbner went famous at the National Theatre. The same year, She recorded her first album of music, It's The time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, a character from God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim and Louise was awarded her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she entered the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. The role that she was most famous for came through in 1964 after she joined CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise did a great performance juggling Broadway and Hollywood. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th of August in 1965 her family relocated to Toronto in the age group of three. She spent her childhood there and then her adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever for the last ten years.
