Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. One of the shows she's been a part of and which has the most success has been the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. She was born on the 22nd of July 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mom was only 16 when Selena was born. Her first professional stage show job at the age of nine in the role of Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the kids who were the only historical anthropomorphic dinosaur, the purple one. Selena was involved in several episodes from season 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. Selena wasn't the only performer who appeared in Barney and his Friends during this period. Demi Loveto also worked with the show. Selena Gomez tried out for various roles following the departure of Barney and the Friends, but was not successful. She got a small role in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) as well as another role similar to Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The role of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she also wrote a music.
