Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Because of their fear of stress, the parents were not keen to let the actress pursue acting until turning 18. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began doing it to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, relocated into New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California for theater roles. Perry starred with her mother in The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. In the year 2015, she was together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. She was also cast in the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
